About StageOne Christian Drama Cooperative

Who are we?

StageOne is a Christian Drama Cooperative is an amateur dramatics group willing to serve the churches and organisations in Folkestone and surrounding areas of Kent. StageOne was formed in 2004, following a number of productions undertaken across a number of Churches, and a desire to bring these skills to a common group and purpose.

StageOne has many enthusiastic members that wish to get involved with acting and performing as a hobby and past time and have fun at the same time.

StageOne aims to undertake two productions each year around Christmas, Easter, and the summer, in addition to smaller events and commissions.

Our aim is to be all encompassing

Although StageOne is a Christian group, our aim is to be all encompassing. Some of our activities are specifically Christian, some are subtly Christian and some are non-Christian.

When do we meet up?

We meet each Tuesday evening from 7:30 till 9:30pm

We meet at different venues each week to accommodate our members. Check out our monthly calendar >>

  • Holy Trinity Church
  • The Salvation Army Citadel Church

Anyone 16 or over is welcome to join us.

Developing skills and confidence

A wide variety of skills and workshops are offered, aiming to develop people's stage skills and confidence across all aspects of theatre and performing arts. This is done in a relaxed and informal atmosphere; pressure is not placed on people.
